About NutriGen

We are a startup company in the field of Nutrigenomics, aiming to facilitate people in Bulgaria in their efforts to improve quality of life by providing information about their DNA profile. We believe that the more we understand about ourselves and how our bodies function, the better we can follow our individual path to our best health and physical performance.

Today we know that our DNA hides the key to our optimal nutrition and training regime. If we find out that we are genetically at a higher risk of developing diseases such as atherosclerosis, reduced bone density, type II diabetes, etc., we will have the chance to change our lifestyle early in order to significantly reduce the risks and take care of our health in the future. We will be able to do our best for the health of our children if we are aware of their genetic predispositions from the beginning.

NutriGen is the first Bulgarian company to offer individual solutions in the field of Nutrigenomics and Nutrigenics developed based on the unique DNA profile of each individual. We use a set of genetic studies compliant with the most up-to-date trends in the context of personalized medicine. They represent innovative and proven working method of research, supported by science and proven to be effective in the field of health care.

NutriGen is an exclusive representative for Bulgaria of two of the leading European companies in the field of genetic research. The tests, part of our portfolio, are carried out with the partnership of the Danish company DNA Life, which works together with Nordic Laboratories – one of the largest suppliers of laboratory tests in Europe.

What do we offer?

We offer complex solutions that are part of the overall care needed to improve general health and sports performance. For their application, we rely on qualified experts who provide thorough analysis of the obtained results.

The portfolio of products and services we provide to our clients includes:

• Undergoing pre-consultation with our associate to show if and how appropriate certain test is, given the customer’s personal needs.
• Providing DNA sample – the procedure is painless and doesn’t require taking blood. The sample is obtained from the buccal mucosa from the inside of the oral cavity. The procedure is conducted at home, without the need of medical practitioner, with the help of sterile cotton swab.
• Receiving results that give detailed picture of the client’s genetic predisposition to the key factors determining his/hers profile in the tested area.
• Undergoing personal consultation with qualified medical geneticist specifically trained to work with the tests in order to analyze the obtained data.

Our tests provide basis for personalized program preparation which can be done by specialists chosen by the client.
